Mission Statement
The Educational Resource Center provides updated and high quality learning resources, teaching resources, both print and digital, and innovative services to support NWU’s mission of developing highly competent individuals and upright leaders.
Objectives
To create an educational environment that encourages the full personal and professional development of those it serves.
To build collections and provide access to information and services to support teaching-learning, research and creative endeavors.
To foster acquisition of new knowledge and experiences that enhance critical thinking leadership skills, visual and real sensitivity, and social integrity.
To identify, acquire, organize, store and provide on-demand access to the available intellectual and research products of scholars worldwide for the NWU faculty and students, as well as, to the greater community of learners beyond NWU.
AskNORA (NWU ONLINE REFERENCE ASSISTANT) is NWU Educational Resource Center’s online reference service designed to provide students, faculty, and staff with 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 support and assistance on their research, assignments, and other information needs.
NORA is open to chat live from 𝟴 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟴 𝗣𝗠 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 (except holidays). Message NORA anywhere – be it the comfort of your home or the campus buzz.
Virtual Assistant Connection (VACON)
It is the term used to represent the different ways where you can access NWU ONLINE REFERENCE ASSISTANT (NORA) that can help and support students and faculty research needs virtually.
