How it works: You search for a book title or paste a URL, and it generates the citation. You can then organize these into "Projects" (e.g., "History Paper," "Biology Lab").
How it looks: Very user-friendly. It’s "set and forget", it remembers your citations in your browser so you can come back a week later and your list will still be there.
Best for: When you have a list of 10+ sources and want to keep them organized in one place without making an account.
ZoteroBib is a "no-frills" tool built by a non-profit. It is designed to be the fastest way to get a citation and get out.
How it works: You paste a link or ISBN into a single search bar on the homepage, and it immediately creates the citation. There are no menus to navigate and no "projects" to manage.
How it looks: Minimalist and industrial. It doesn't track you, doesn't show ads, and doesn't even have a "login" button. It’s just a blank page with a search bar.
Best for: When you just need one or two citations right now and don't want to deal with a dashboard or folders.
