Entering the Library
Are there fees I pay whenever I tap my RFID when entering the library?
- No, there no fees for tapping your RFID so you should tap every time you enter the library. It is just like when you tap your RFID when entering the campus, to show proof that you have entered the premises.
Where is the library located?
- The Main Library is located at the 1st and 2nd floor of the BAN building. The Graduate School Library is located at the 2nd floor of the Mega building. The Law Library is located at the Nicolas Nicolas building. The CEAT Library is located at the 1st floor of the STC building. The Elementary and High School library is located at the 1st floor of the Marcelo Tajon building.
I forgot my RFID, can I still enter the library?
- Yes, you can! Although you have to fill up the logbook at the entrances. Don’t forget your RFID next time!
Borrowing/Returning of Information Resources
I forgot my RFID, can I still borrow books?
- Yes, you can! You must, however, provide your complete Student ID number to the librarian-in-charge. Don’t forget your RFID next time!
How do I borrow books?
- Easy, just bring the book you wish to borrow to the Charging desk and follow the instructions of the librarian-in-charge.
I saw a Dropbox by the entrance to the campus, can I use that to return my books?
- Yes, but you need to contact the library and inform them.
Online Resources
I want to access e-books on my phone, can I?
- Accessing e-books is easy. Just login to your student or employee portal. Once logged in, there is a button on the left-side pane “Library (ERC)”, click that and then “Search Books”. On the search bar, change the Category to “E-Books” and then begin your search.
Library Services
Is there a part of the library where my group can discuss freely?
- The Collaboration/Discussion Room is where you need to go! Just fill-up this form: bit.ly/ERCreservation and confirm schedule with the librarians.
Is there free Wi-Fi for students like me?
- Yes, we have free Wi-Fi for students. As for the password, there are signs all over the library that will tell you exactly what you need to connect.
